Other: This was not a great meal on many levels. The avocado was brownish and both the starter course and the salad seemed very uninspired. My kids could have thrown together those ingredients and achieved the same thing so it really did not seem like Delta put a lot of thought into this particular menu. The Bordeaux wine choice was muted, flat and really tasteless which I found surprising considering that Delta touts its relationship with master sommelier Andrea Robinson who supposedly chooses the wines after tasting them at altitude (doubtful or else this one would not have made the cut). This was disappointing because I was very excited to taste an aged Bordeaux on the flight...what a let down! The 2 upsides to this meal were the Pinot Noir selection (great selection, fantastic nose and classic Pinot Noir character even at altitude) and the tenderloin was cooked perfectly to a med rare state. This is almost never the case when I eat beef on a plane and it is usually overcooked. Great job on that.
