Dinner , Special meal: no
The starter was a really tiny portion of a delicious creme of chicken soup. For mains, the choice was exactly the same as on a Auckland-Sydney flight last December so they really need to swap their menus more often for their regular flyers. I chose the Duck a l'orange which sounded better than it actually tasted as the duck was simply too dry and the orange juice almost invisible. The cheese board that followed was quite nice again and the blue cheese especially was absolutely delicious. I also grabbed a couple of sandwiches and wraps in the onboard bar a bit later as I was still quite hungry. In the morning they served a rather lame 'Continental breakfast' which essentially was a yoghurt, croissant (you could get more but they weren't really all too tasty to begin with) and 'Fresh seasonal cut Melon' (as always on airplanes containing Melon, Melon and more Melon). Have I mentioned that it contained Melon? there was also a tiny sliver of Pineapple and, oddly enough, half a Lime (???). Maybe the latter goes well with Melon but I decided not to try!
Vodka Martini to begin with, followed by a lovely French white and some port in the end
Quite nice but breakfast insufficient
