Dinner , Special meal: no
Not the best ever Emirates meal in J but not really bad either. My bad luck was rather the choice of meals which was mostly a choice between seafood (which I am allergic to) and lamb (which I'm not a fan of). I ended up with the chicken which was not bad per se but was served on the bone, which I always hate. Fuzzy eater I guess, I know! The starter was the delicious Emirates mezze plate which is way better than what you get on Middle Eastern competitor Etihad (I had just flown them a few weeks back so perfect for a comparison!), I love that spicy cheesy thing as well as the wine leaf and Hummus (how can you not like Hummus!). On this particular flight, they also served Garlic bread (EK does on some, but not all flights) which made up for the chicken-on-the-bone and I did decide not to have yet another cheese plate though I bet it would have been delicious as always on EK. Prior to landing, I was delighted to see hot snacks being served (on many flights of this length Emirates serves nothing as a second meal) and decided to go for the Indian vegetarian selection which was Onion Pekora and Vegetarian Samosas. Both were absolutely divine so I was very happy about that second meal!
Plenty :-)
Pretty okay

Other: Once again, bad luck with the aircraft. One of those old 777 which don't have Wifi nor USB plugs and generally feel just outdated and rattly. Combined with the rather sub-par slippery slope seats it makes for a product which is vastly inferior to many of Emirate's competitors.
