Lunch: "Fresh Garden Salad with Hearts of Palm, Virgin Olive Oil and Sherry Vinegar", "Medallion of Lamb Leg in Provencal Sauce, Sauteed Three-coloured Peppers, Boulangere Potatoes", "Manchego and Ser (Menu Card)

Spanish white wine, which was very good

" The service was pleasant, but the meal was ordinary to bad, the lamb tasted like braised rat (or what I would imagine braised rat to taste like), sauce was vile, the lettuce in the salad was brown at the edges, though the hearts of palm were a nice addition. The cheese was fine. They should stick to something a bit simpler and tastier (like a nice plate of Spanish smoked hams and Spanish cheeses with a little salad, in case Iberia wants my suggestion!)"
