Nearly full load on this early morning ATR72-500 regional flight in southern India staffed by 2 very busy and hassled FA's. Pre-Takeoff: Cold Towels and 200ml waterbottle handed by the 2 FA's in a carefully choreographed sequence! Inflight: Meal cart was rolled out around 10 mins after takeoff, service starting from the front. Almost the entire flight seemed to have opted for the non-veg option, atleast those around me. Meal was similar to breakfast served on BOM-COK 737-400 flight 3 days before: except for scrambled eggs with cheese in place of cheese omelettes and potato croquet in place of potato-chaat. Omelettes were good with a creamy cheese filling. Potato wedges + Capsicum with chaat masala- not something I had tasted earlier but it was nice. However the Chicken sausages were yuck: rubbery and tasteless. Caterers seemed to be going easy on the salt and spices though and I had to use the salt and pepper provided separately in sachets. Coffee/Tea service from pot by the other FA immediately after the meal. FA's also came around to ask for a second round of coffee/tea or fruit juice (from a tetrapak) to those who didnt want tea/coffee. Overall quite a good effort. Infact what could have been a yum 8/10 breakfast was ruined by the sausages. Meal was catered by a Cochin based local firm and meals on these flights usually suck 9 times on 10. 9W should stick to Sky-Gourmet or TAJ-SATS.
