Appetizer - Smoked beef and duck liver terrine served with jumbo shrimps
and apple & beetroot salad.
Salad - Green salad served with fresh pine nuts and cheese along with
a Sun Dried Tomato dressing
Main Course - Grilled fillet of Beef with Bernaise Sauce served with green
beans and dauphinoise potato gratin
Dessert - A Peter van der Poel creation : Vanilla and mango sherbet ice
dessert on biscuit cake, glazed with pure white Callebaut chocolate and
decorated with chocolate and pistachio bits
Liquer - Grand Marnier + chocolate

It is rare that a meal is remembered mainly for its dessert, but today's lunch was one such meal. Peter van der Poel carries the title of "Master Ice Dessert Creator" according to the menu card, and it is easy to see why. The dessert was the ultimate in culinary orgasm, made even sweeter by the fact we were at 30000 feet. Bravo KLM, bravo.
