Chose the Japanese option. The sushi starter was passable but very much the kind of sushi that can be bought cheaply at a European supermarket. Zaru soba was OK. The so-called "Japanese Curry" was a disaster. It was a mixture of minced meat and cubed vegetables, hot with (probably) pepper and chilli, but otherwise without any spice flavour whatsoever. It was neither Japanese nor Curry -it was a fraud. The rice was overcooked, like something in between rice porridge and mochi -just edible. Even the (Becks brand) beer had the typical canned beer taste, although much of it went over my lap (which was NOT covered by the blanket yet) instead of into my belly courtesy of clear air turbulence. Chilled bread roll and butter, I cannot comment as I didn't touch them. Fruit salad as dessert, I ate but emphatically nothing to do with Japan. All served by a young Japanese air hostess with a notoriously brooding, stressed out expression.
