For a nearly 12-hour flight, Nordwind has only 1 free hot lunch. For the 2nd time, only those passengers who ordered paid meals for 9 USD (537 RUR) were fed. The other passengers were given only soft drinks, not even tea or coffee... But if you take into account the fact that I had a free lunch, a self-organized high tea and a paid dinner, then I was quite enough, and I was not hungry. On the contrary, I ate too much at the end ) paid meals are offered about 3 hours before landing, and lunch is 1.5-2 hours after takeoff. In General, I liked the food, delicious, high-quality, satisfying. The beef was excellent, delicious, soft, and without any inedible inclusions. Unusual and delicious smoked egg. Tender, fresh and delicious muffin. The only thing I didn't like was the Russian salad (essentially a vegetarian variation of Olivier, without sausage and meat). First of all, it seemed dry to me, even though I squeezed a whole bag of mayonnaise into it...Secondly, without sausage and meat, it seemed to me completely tasteless...And with difficulty climbed into the throat. Judging by the paper with the description of the diet, which was attached to the package, this salad should have been chicken meat...But I didn't find any signs of it in the salad, even in trace amounts...Purely vegan "Olivier", besides still dry. Cod according to the companion did not quite work out, and left much to be desired. The mozzarella salad was delicious. In General, I liked the food, but if I did not fork out for a paid diet, and did not take my cakes and sweets with me on the flight for an afternoon snack, then most likely I would have to starve there ))) by the Way, the absolute majority of passengers did not order paid meals...They looked at me with envy. However, some passengers took out their parcels, bowls of food, bars and arranged a spontaneous dinner for themselves. The woman across the chair from me, got herself a large plastic box of pickles, and ate them. Someone, judging by the smell ahead, ate lard with garlic :)) and someone did not take anything with them and ate only once in 12 hours....
