Dinner , Special meal: VGML
The meal consisted of two sides - raw vegetable salad and raw fruit salad. The sides were fresh and crisp. The main consisted of plain steamed basmati rice served with masala okra gravy and plain spinach gravy. There was no bun provided like the last time on this route. What you see is a small sandwich given from the previous DXB-MCT sector. The bottle of juice was also provided on the previous sector. There were various choices of juice and alcohol available along with additional bottled water. Dinner followed with a tea/coffee service. Condiments and a packed refreshing wipes came with the meal. Cutlery was plastic.

Equipment: The legroom on the Boeing 737-900ER is very tight in comparison to the newer 737-800s. The IFE is AVOD and the same as in the newer 800 versions - Thales AVANT. The washrooms are similar to the newer 737-800s - compact and small sinks. There is certainly a downgrade with regards to the legroom and the lavatories when compared with their older 737-800s. There were 6 crew on this flight. I noticed that the crew did not seem friendly and warm - they were rather indifferent - contrary to my previous experience. The crew on the A330-200 from DXB-MCT were also the same. All in all, I still liked my flight.
