Hot lunch (Menu Card)
After an hour, the meal was served, the choice was
between rice and noodles. I chose the pork rice, and it came with a buttercake,
slices of pineapple and melon, a soft roll and butter plus a second drinkround.
The meal tasted simple, like if it came from a foodcourt instead of a
restaurant but nice nevertheless. Also I noted Orient Thai had its logo
printed on about every item; the toothpick, the towelette, the salt, the
sugar, the peanuts, the hankies, while bigger airlines often don't even
bother. Exact the same meal options were offered on the morning return
flight three days later
a cold drink plus peanuts round, the orange juice came out of 2 litre-cans which were opened manually by the F/A's by a canopener and that it tasted a bit chemical. After the meal there was a coffee/tea round but no alcoholic
Sorry for the bad quality picture, but I hope the airline is special enough to qualify. I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of the service, comparing to the small meals Cathay Pacific served on a 2 hrs flight to Manila and the bad low cost name the airline has.
