"Since Qantas replaced its world-renowned hot meals on domestic flights with “SNACK”, I was expecting just a muesli bar & water so I had a steak before I got to the airport. Hence I found the danish a little bland & filling, but had I been hungry it would have hit the spot, despite being 90% hollow. Very little evidence of cream cheese within, but lots of strawberry jam. The chocolate macadamias were divine – each coated in very fine chocolate until almost the size of a golf ball, the nut inside being superbly crunchy & roasted. A delicious finale! The beer was $5 but came with a bonus pack of peanuts, plastic glass & logo-serviette (although QF have cut costs to the point of deleting the red-tail off the serviette!). The flight was 2/3rds empty and the aircraft extremely new & clean with very powerful air-conditioning. I was sitting up front so it was also very quiet! A very pleasant flight for $80!! One warning: including the peanuts, this “SNACK” contained a whopping 35 grams of fat!!"
