Virgin America really puts much effort into its catering but some dishes simply did not work. The Tumeric chicken was pretty bad and this fusion dish failed miserably. However the appetizer was good, as well as the Chocolate Mint tart. While the F/A was friendly and even chatty, I had to give her a poor rating because she basically did three formal service: First time delivering all the savory courses with beverage; second time dessert; and then a beverage and snack basket service two hours prior to landing. Since VX disabled the beverage ordering system in first class, it was hard to get her attention.
